Over a quarter of a million skaters having taken to the ice in the past four years at the bmibaby Cardiff Winter Wonderland – and now it’s set to return to the beautiful Civic Centre. The magical open-air ice rink is open between November 15 and January 6, giving a cool 52 days of skating.
Whether you’re an experienced skater or a complete beginner, the open-air ice rink at bmibaby Cardiff Winter Wonderland is an essential winter experience. And while the rink remains the focus for skaters and spectators, there are plenty of other attractions around the arena for all the family, including an ice café bar, heated terrace overlooking the ice, traditional children’s carousel and rides, Big Wheel and free festive entertainment.
Cllr Nigel Howells, Executive Member for Leisure, Culture and Sport, says: “bmibaby Cardiff Winter Wonderland has become the ‘must-do’ event of the city’s festive season, giving an extra reason to visit Cardiff at Christmas. As the focal point of the Council’s winter events programme, it adds a real sparkle to the heart of the city, providing wonderful entertainment – both on and off the ice – for everyone.”
Sessions are £7.50 per adult and £5.50 for children aged 12 and under.
